NAGPUR: At 71, a man has given the nation a belief that there is still hope of improvement, if only one strives hard for it. Today Anna Hazare has gone from an icon to being a legend but he says that "the work has just begun".
"The real cause of corruption is the people themselves and if the Jan Lokpal bill has been made for the people by the people, now it's their duty to fulfil it to the maximum," observed Lekha Chaturvedi, a teacher.

The city was clad with positivity and everyone, whether present at gatherings or not, were welcoming the change that has changed the governing of the whole country forever. After his crusade to take the first step to free India of corruption, Hazare is now the official Gandhi of the modern time, and the celebrations in his honour serve as memoirs of a great movement in Indian history.
There were victory marches and celebrations at RBI square organized by India Against Corruption along with other local organizations for the past three days. It was concluded today with a sense of responsibility. The celebrations were complete with a band, baaja and fireworks.
"The youth knew that there was wrong governance in the country and that there is still a lot of scope for improvement, but they were unsure on how to start something collectively on such a large scale. That is what Anna has done. We were frustrated and now we want the politicians to do something that changes the future of this country positively," said Ronit Naik who represents the youth.
"Raigad ka sant", sang a young girl on the mike to which the crowd applauded with joy. There were poems, shayaris and patriotic songs all representing only what everyone in the country felt.

Ashfaq Rehman, a 35 year-old businessman, said, "I am representing Muslims all around the country and the city. I know that everyone has faced corruption in their life if they are born in this country and now that there has been action taken on it by Anna, we cannot afford to forget about it. The real task will be completed only when this leads to eradicating corruption from the roots, which are the people."
People danced and celebrated to the beats of 'yeh desh hai veer jawaanon ka', 'mera rang de basanti' and others. "The rain in Nagpur was a pointer to all the freedom fighters crying in heaven. Today as we take the first step to our second independence, they are crying out of happiness," said Shrikant Bele.
